About the paid plan
The paid plan's capacity is 100,000 contacts and 1,000 custom lists - far more than any typical household will ever need.
About the free plan and ads
The free plan is genuinely useful, and 100 contacts covers a lot of households. It's supported by ads so it can stay free. Ads appear only in non-sensitive places. They never appear on emergency views, printable output, billing, sign-in, or privacy screens. If you'd rather not see ads at all, that's the paid plan.
Upgrading and canceling
The household owner can upgrade at any time from billing settings. Checkout takes a minute, and the whole household gets paid features immediately. Cancel any time — your subscription runs through the end of the period you paid for, and your household then moves to the free plan. Downgrading has real limits, so here's exactly what happens: nothing is ever deleted, but the free plan supports up to 100 active contacts. Contacts beyond that are kept safe in read-only form — you choose which 100 stay active and editable, and the rest can't be edited or added to unless you upgrade again. Paid features like additional adults, viewer access, and the printable emergency sheet also end when the paid period does.
